Failure...Unless God Steps In

My mom gave me a really sweet card a few weeks ago and this is what the front of it said:

“Attempt something large enough that failure is guaranteed…unless God steps in.”

I think this sentence was written just for me...This is how I feel about my counseling internship!!!

It's so awesome to see how God fills in the gaps where I have holes, makes my inadequacies adequate, and equips me when I'm unequipped.

I'm kind of glad for the "holes" in my life because they make me realize how much I have to depend on God.

It's like Paul says in 2 Corinthians 12:9-10:

"He said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.' Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me.
That is why, for Christ's sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong."

As I write this, I realize that I already made reference to this Scripture in my last post, but I guess it's pretty important to me right now. :-)

Anyway, do you have any thoughts? How is God speaking to you lately?

Love you! Have a good weekend.
